A workout session Our sessions are unique in having the instructor in the middle of a circle leading, encouraging and exercising together with the participants. All sessions contain warm up, mobility, strength training, cardio-vascular training, slow down, stretching and relaxation. A typical session is described below in an intensity curve: |

The different workout intensities The three main workout intensities are: Basic - straightforward and easy with uncomplicated movements. Medium - tougher exercise with gentle movements. Intensive - the toughest intensity where you put your muscles and cardio-vascular system to the test |

Basic (bas) If you want to improve your fitness, strength and flexibility. Straightforward and easy with uncomplicated movements. In these classes, jumping is avoided.
Medium (medel) You are fairly fit and like somewhat tough exercises, but with gentle movements. Higher tempo and some jumps.
Intensive (intensiv) Our toughest intensity; thorough exercises which put your muscles and cardiovascular system to the test. Very effective training for fit people.
Strength/medium (styrka/medel) This session is a little bit different compared to a regular basic/medium session. Emphasis on improving your strength. We use strength- building exercises during a longer interval and with more repetitions.
Pulse medium (puls) A Pulse session concentrates on the cardiovascular part of the session. You are quite fit, you like high tempo and you get inspired by challenging co-ordination in the cardiovascular sections.
Station basic (Station/bas) Station training combines a normal basic session with effective strength training with tools, at different "stations". The duration of the session is one hour and 15 minutes with a long strength part in the middle of around 25-30 minutes.
Core/Bosu This workout focuses on exercises which strengthen your abdominals and back, and stretches out your body. With the bosu (a balance trainer) you challenge your cores and balance even more. Try it, you like it!
Step/Aerobics Step/Aerobics is a session inspired by choreography. This session includes warming up, flexibility and strength exercises, but the main focus is on the choreography and physical fitness part, which challenges your coordination and consists of complex step combinations. The intensity corresponds to a classic medium session. |

Circlefys (Cirkelfys) A class for your whole body. 10 challenging stations with different exercises. Three laps where your exercise 45 seconds and then move on to the next station/rest for 12 seconds. You will find weights, boards, bosus, bars and fit balls as your tools in this class. We start whit an easy warm up and end with slow down and stretching.
Dance Class (Danspass) An energetic class with a lot of expression! Let yourself get inspired by the music, the steps and all kind of dance-styles. Easy choreography; just imitate, shake loose and have fun!
AfroPower A joyful class with lots of energy. African drums and rhythms make you want to move your hole body and just enjoy the movement. This is a class where you really can make the most of your cardio-vascular training.
At Friskis&Svettis you can also find Spin Cardio-vascular training on a bike, indoors. The music and the instructor inspire you to 'do your best' and we promise you that you will! Spin comes in the intensities: basic, medium and intensive, and we also have a class where we combine spin with body pump called 'spinn/strength' (spin/styrka).
Gym Welcome to one of Karlskronas largest gyms. We always have 21 degrees in the gym and its clean and well-kept. If you are a new member you can have an instruction with one of our gym instructors so you can start your training in a safe way. Apart from the free weights and Life Fitness machines for muscular training you will also find treadmills, rowing machines, bicycles and steppers for cardio-vascular training in the gym.
